Our PurposeCross Country for a Cure is a tour for Ohio bicyclists who would like to bike across the country and at the same time fundraise for an incurable disease. Fundraising can be for a nonprofit organization of the cyclist’s choice (i.e., cancer, diabetes, MS, lymphoma, AIDS, etc.). Funds raised are donated to the chosen nonprofit. These funds will go to help find a cure. Our intention is to serve the Ohio area with general information about how to participate in a cross country tour and fundraise for a chosen nonprofit organization. Information is provided for reasons to ride, news and links to popular cyclist sites, how to register, frequently asked questions, contact information, and various nonprofits. Our MissionCross Country for a Cure is a signature cycling event that is the perfect combination of a quality cross country cycling tour for riders along with a well organized fundraising event. It is for those who are passionate about finding a cure for an incurable disease that has affected family members, friends, or themselves. It is our hope that we will inspire cycling enthusiasts to travel by bicycle
across the country for fun and fitness. In addition, we hope that they will
be motivated to raise money to find a cure for a disease that has
affected someone they know. The Tour is a ride, not
a race. The routes are designed so that the riders are supported from
start to finish with rest stops, good food to fuel the journey
and a place to stay at night. Luggage and supplies will be transported
for each rider daily. |
